  • Can I pay my sewer bill and my water bill with one check?

No. Whether you are billed for sewer services via manual billing or via the San Diego County property tax invoice, both processes are through separate entities from the water districts; therefore, the bills need to be paid separately.

  • How can I set up waste disposal service for my business?

Please visit EDCO's Commercial Services page.

  • I need to dispose of a large appliance; can I just leave it next to my bins on trash day?

Bulk item pickup service is available for residential and commercial customers. Schedule yours by calling the EDCO Customer Service call center at (619) 287-7555.

  • Is there a way to pay my EDCO bill online?

EDCO makes paying your bill online easy. Set up automatic payments or make a one-time payment on their website.
  • What can I do about my neighbors' bad trash habits?

If they leave their trash carts on the street past collection day, set them out too early or let trash accumulate for weeks, call the City at (619) 441-1658 to report the problem.

  • Where can I dispose of my batteries and electronic waste (e-waste)?

Batteries and most electronic waste are considered hazardous because of the metals and/or other toxic or corrosive materials contained within. Even when batteries have reached their end-life, they still hold a small charge. If batteries are not discarded properly, they can potentially explode and cause a fire in a collection cart, truck or in a disposal facility when crushed.

For information on where residents can bring unwanted Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and E-Waste items, including batteries, for safe and proper disposal please call 877-R-1-EARTH (877-713-2784) or visit WasteFreeSD.org.

  • Where can I dispose of my used motor oil and other household hazardous waste?

El Cajon residents may drop off household hazardous waste items (such as CRTs) free of charge at 950 O’Connor St., El Cajon, by appointment only, on Saturdays, starting January 2, 2021.

BOOK A TIMESLOT ONLINE, email lmhhw@edcodisposal.com, or call (619) 287-5696 ext. 4270 to schedule an appointment.
