The Magnolia - Formerly known as the East County Performing Arts Center, The Magnolia opened in September of 2019 and is the newest entertainment destination for greater San Diego right here in El Cajon! More than $8 million was invested into the facility and a partnership with Live Nation has made this venue a popular attraction for music, concert, and event lovers across the region. 

The Knox House Museum, home of the El Cajon Historical Society, is part of a hotel built in 1876 near what is now the southwest corner of Main Street and Magnolia Avenue. Originally a two-story, seven-room structure serving as Knox's residence and hotel. The Museum is located at 280 N. Magnolia Avenue. (619) 444-3800.

Gillespie Field is nestled in the northwest corner of El Cajon, Gillespie Field is a gateway to the world and is an important part of its community.  Gillespie Field is the oldest and largest of the County’s eight airports. It includes not just runways, tower, and a terminal, but many airport-related businesses, and a yearly airshow as well. The airport is located at 1960 Joe Crosson Drive. (619) 956-4800.

St. Madeleine Sophie's Center and Garden has a beautiful two-acre, therapeutic, Certified Organic Garden that includes a full citrus orchard, beautiful flower gardens, a passive-solar greenhouse, a propagation house, ornamental trees, green shrubs, and fragrant herbs.   Complete with ADA approved meandering pathways, contemplative spaces and opportunities to commune with nature. The Olaf Wieghorst Museum and Western Heritage Center honors the accomplished artist who lived in our community for 44 years and is known for his magnificent portrayals of the nineteenth century American West. The original home of Mae and Olaf Wieghorst was moved to the Museum grounds and has been designated a “Historic Landmark” by the city of El Cajon. The Museum and Home is located at 131 Rea Avenue.
