Service Organizations and Clubs

There are several top-notch service clubs that serve El Cajon and the greater East San Diego County.  They are a key part of this community.

  • El Cajon Elks Lodge #1812
    Elks invest in their communities through benevolent, educational and patriotic community-minded programs in such fields as benefiting physically handicapped children, sponsoring Elks National Foundation scholarships, scouting, athletic teams, physical and occupational therapy programs, and honoring the service and sacrifice of our Veterans.

  • El Cajon Rotary Club
    An association of some 30,000 autonomous clubs in more than 160 countries, Rotary International is one of the world's largest service organizations. The goal for a club's membership is an up-to-date and progressive representation of the community's business, vocational, and professional interests.
  • El Cajon Valley Lions Club
    As part of the world's largest and most active service club organization, the El Cajon Valley Lions Club has been partnering with the El Cajon Community since 1947. One main focus of the Club is providing eye exams and glasses for underprivileged children in the East County and assistance for the vision impaired.
  • Kiwanis Club of El Cajon Valley
    The Kiwanis Club of El Cajon Valley is one of thousands of Kiwanis community service clubs around the world dedicated to serving the Children of the World.  Our club was chartered in 1945 and has been active in the community of El Cajon, California ever since. 
  • El Cajon Historical Society
    The El Cajon Historical Society is located inside the Knox House at 280 N. Magnolia Ave. On December 18, 2007, in honor of its history, the City Council approved The Knox House to be a historic structure. This is also the first such designation by the Planning Commission, which also sits as the Historic Preservation Commission for the City of El Cajon.
  • German American Societies of San Diego
    Located here in El Cajon at 1017 South Mollison Avenue, the German American Societies’ mission is to unite Germans and other nationalities interested in our culture through various activities. The social gatherings are a lot of fun and include a variety of very interesting programs.
  • Miss El Cajon Scholarship Association
    Miss El Cajon and Miss El Cajon Teen are widely respected goodwill ambassadors for El Cajon. The goal of the Miss El Cajon Scholorship Association is to provide personal growth workshops and scholorships, and to help young women open up new frontiers so they can reach their academic and career goals while learning life skills.
  • Mother Goose Parade Association
    The Mother Goose Parade is the largest, single-day event in San Diego County and one of the biggest parades of its kind in the United States. Each year, the parade attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators to the streets of El Cajon, California.
  • Trauma Intervention Program, Inc. (TIP)
    "Citizens helping Citizens in Crisis". TIP volunteers are called out by police, fire and hospitals to provide emotional and practical support to survivors of tragedy, and their families, in the first few hours after the crisis event.
  • El Cajon Main Street Flag Program
    The Flag committee displays the flags on Martin Luther King’s birthday, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. The flags fly on Main Street from Chambers Street to Ballantyne Street.
